Acceptance notification to participants: Monday, February 1, 2016
Applicants need to prepare and submit the following supporting documents:
Summary of Research Interests (maximum 700 words)
connection to IC-IMPACTS (if applicable);
research interests/thesis/dissertation topic;
relevant coursework or research experience to date;
relevant publications or presentations, if applicable;
how participation in this Institute will enhance your future work and/or apply to your future career plans (i.e., where you would like to be in 5 years? e.g., working in a research lab at an institution, in the field, for industry, nationally, internationally, pursuing graduate studies or a post-doc opportunity)
E-Poster Abstract (maximum 500 words)*
Include the title, authors and institutions(s); avoid using abbreviations in the abstract title.
Include the project objectives/goals, methods, results and innovation/potential impact. Do not include graphs, tables, images and references in the abstract.
Define each abbreviation the first time it is used in the abstract by placing what it stands for in parentheses.
More details on the “rapid fire” e-poster presentations (and examples) will be provided upon acceptance to the Summer Institute.
Letter of Support from Supervisor, Graduate Program Director, Department Chair or IC-IMPACTS research supervisor.
